Meds to Beds Pharmacy Services
Complete care by the time of patient discharge. That is the focus of Coffee Regional Medical Center’s bedside delivery of discharge medication. When a patient chooses our Meds to Beds services for medications, the prescription(s) will be filled and delivered to the patients’ bedside by a licensed pharmacy staff member at discharge, prior to leaving the hospital.
How Do You Benefit?
Our Meds to Beds Program reduces many barriers of obtaining medications after discharge, such as:
- Transportation
- Insurance Authorization
- Convenience
- Time
- Education of Meds
Medication Counseling
Counseling of the medications is an important component of this program. A licensed pharmacist technician will review each medication to ensure the patient understands the drugs purpose, risks, and side effects while answering any questions the patient and family may have.
Do I have a Co-Pay?
Co-Pay’s do apply to any medication received at discharge, just as they do at your neighborhood pharmacy. Both cash and credit/debit cards are accepted as a form of payment.
Refills
If necessary, once it’s time to refill the patients’ medication, the patient can request their physician call any refills or future prescription into the neighborhood pharmacy. Patients typically are required a follow-up appointment with their physician before refills can be prescribed, so please check with your physician when your medication begins to run low.
