Find a Physician
Primary care physicians are in the two medical specialties of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine. Primary care physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers who work with them are often the patients’ first contact when a symptom or health concern arises. Most problems, including chronic diseases like diabetes or hypertension, can be diagnosed and treated in the primary care physician’s office. In other cases, the primary care physician may refer to physicians who are trained in the specific disease or organ system involved, often continuing to coordinate the patient’s care.
