Graduating with honors from Georgia Tech in 1989, he was awarded the School of Medicine Scholarship. He received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1993.
He completed an Internship and Residency training at Georgia Baptist/Scottish Rite Medical Center.
James Barber, M.D., is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon.
He has coauthored research with Emory University, Georgia Baptist Medical Center, CDC and GA Tech. His research topics include: sports injuries/performance, back/spinal injuries, and ankle deformities.
Dr. Barber is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
